RING OUT THE CHRISTMAS BELLS:
The Bell Tower at St Peter’s Parish Church will be open between noon and 11pm on Christmas Eve and again from 9am until 4pm on Christmas Day so parishioners and visitors can maintain the tradition of ringing the church bell. St Peter – along with St Ouen and St Mary - was one of the first Jersey parishes to be freed from French Occupation in 1468 and we ring the bells to both celebrate our freedom and to herald the good news of the birth of Christ.
